ABOUT
My name is Ryan Howard; I am twenty years old and currently reside in downtown Chicago, Illinois. I was born and raised only seventy miles west of Chicago in Rockford, Illinois. Though Rockford is not as “alive” as Chicago I enjoyed my childhood there and enjoy returning whenever I have the opportunity.
Since attending Flashpoint Academy I have had many opportunities to work on film sets, attend workshops and study through the curriculum in order to advance my knowledge and working experience of film and the film industry. I have held multiple positions on several different film crews such as 1st. Assistant Director, Producer, Director of Photography, Director, and Editor. Since my first year, I have chosen Focus Study Producing for my final year at Flashpoint Academy, further advancing my skills as a Producer and or 1st Assistant Director. I will be graduating from Flashpoint Academy in May 2010.
Specialties:
I feel fortunate to have had training on the most current and widely used film software such as Final Draft 7.0, Movie Magic and EP Scheduling and Budgeting, Final Cut Studio, Avid and Photoshop. My “hands on” camera experience has been with the Panasonic HD HVX200 shooting on P2, and the Sony Ex3 and shooting on S-by-S cards. I am open to all opportunity that will help advance my understanding and continued learning of the film industry, no matter the location of the job.
